I'd just like to respond to Dorothea's query about whether there is interest in more functionality on the MESEA website. Speaking personally, yes! The forum here seems like a good place to connect and it's open to members only, I think, so it's private.
I'd also be glad to see a MESEA presence on other networking sites such as academia.edu and facebook, for example. I know that not everybody uses them, but for those of us who do it would make it easier to connect with others and to receive updates and calls for papers, etc.
